Meet the Laser and Skin Team

The Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center at Chongqing West District Hospital is led by four consultants working inside a tertiary general hospital. Ke He, MD, is responsible for the medical review of this site and performs the treatments it compares. Both sides of the decision are represented on the team: Dr. Yongbo Jia holds the dermatological assessment of pigment and barrier conditions, including the skin that should not be resurfaced, and Dr. Shaoliang Wang and Dr. Tongchun Mao hold the surgical alternatives when the finding turns out to be position rather than surface.

Skin & laser aesthetics · ablative and non-ablative resurfacing · pigment-risk assessment

Dr. Ke He is Deputy Director of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center at Chongqing West District Hospital and head of its skin and laser aesthetic service — and she is the lead physician of this site. A core specialist formerly at the Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Department of Xinqiao Hospital, affiliated with Army Medical University, she has worked on the clinical front line in skin laser and injectable aesthetics for more than 20 years, serving over ten thousand patients.

Dr. He performs both ablative treatments compared on this site, and the judgement she applies is about depth rather than about equipment: what the wrinkle needs, how the surrounding skin behaves, and how much healing the patient can genuinely give. She treats pigment risk as a reason to change a plan rather than a reason to refuse one, which in practice means conservative settings on darker skin, a preparation routine, and sometimes a small test area before a full face. She declines both options where the skin is loose, where the lines are made by muscle movement, and where the recovery the plan requires is not something the patient's life can accommodate.

Clinical focus

  • Assessment of wrinkle depth and how deep an injury the problem actually needs
  • Ablative resurfacing in darker skin, including test areas and conservative settings
  • Prevention and management of pigment change after resurfacing
  • Infection and delayed healing after an ablative wound
  • Deciding when resurfacing is the wrong answer and what the right one is

The recovery is the treatment

Ablative resurfacing works by removing skin and letting it heal back. The raw days and the pink weeks are not side effects of that process; they are the process. That is why the honest first question is not which laser, but how many weeks you can give to a face that is visibly healing.

Match the depth to the problem

Arrange an assessment. We will establish how deep the wrinkle or scar goes, explain how many weeks of healing that depth requires, and say plainly if resurfacing is not the right answer for your skin.
